Sharkstooth Gauze

Sharkstooth Gauze is a type of fabric commonly used in the theatre and lighting industry. It looks similar to Scenic Gauze, but has a smaller rectangular weave. It is also known as Sharkstooth Scrim. This fabric is made of cotton and is an industry staple. When lit from an oblique angle in front of a dark scene, the scrim will appear opaque. As the area behind the scrim gets lighter, the scene will gradually become visible, a phenomenon known as "bleeding."
